Here he is, the 1967 Lovebus ...

Here he is, The Lovebus - A 1967 model imported from Brazil and restored last year. In the last decade these split screen buses have become more popular than even the beetle! Last year we replaced his 42 year old 1500 engine for a new 1600 twin port unit and in February this year, he underwent a full respray. As you can see he is now the same beautiful cream shade as our other Lovebugs and his top colour is VW sand which makes him “coffee and cream”, the loveliest wedding colour theme.

Our baby has always been a bus and has never been converted and has two full rows of bench seats behind the driver’s area. He can carry 7 or 8 passengers and with safety in mind, we have fitted lap belts to the middle row of seats.

Everyone knows these 'splitties' are a rarity in themselves but Dilwyn is one of the rarest models made, being a 15 window example with unusual and panoramic curved rear quarter windows.

Let’s be fair, if you’re going to hire one of these classy vehicles then you are going to want everyone to see you and that’s certainly the case with Dillwyn’s 15 windows!

The only sacrifice to modern technology we have made on the bus is to fit an absolutely awesome 7 speaker sound system and we usually play period music like The Beach Boys and 60`s and 70`s stuff. Check out our Youtube videos with the sound on! We can however, accommodate your music tastes if you prefer, or no music at all if that’s your choice.
